Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to lead the inspector team across Washington, DC, driving regional success through data-driven decisions and strong collaboration with sales and marketplace teams.

You will recruit, train, and manage inspectors (FTE and contract), ensure adherence to policies, and maintain high quality across floor plan audits and facility inspections. Occasional field presence is required to stay aligned with operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience or education.
• Minimum of 2+ years automotive mechanical experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with electronic inspection reports is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspectors and ensure regional SLA targets and quality standards.
• Recruit and hire inspectors (contract and full-time) within the region.
• Partner with Marketplace and Commercial Sales for forecasting and scheduling.
• Build strong relationships with dealers and the OPENLANE sales team.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of FTE inspectors.
• Ensure contractors meet customer requirements and standards.
• Serve as main point of contact for contractors on compensation and QA updates.
• Collaborate with Product, Arbitration, Scheduling, and QA to test new releases.
