Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Sr. Regional Operations Manager for the Midwest, based near Columbus, OH. You will lead a regional team of inspectors and managers, ensuring audit quality, process compliance, and strong dealer relationships to fuel growth.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in operations leadership and automotive experience, with strong data and collaboration skills. This role requires travel and a valid driver’s license, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of proven leadership experience.
• Must have minimum 2+ years of automotive mechanical experience.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• A working knowledge of technology (most inspection reports are submitted electronically).
• Travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Regional Operations Managers and be accountable for overall Objectives and Key Results of the inspection team.
• Ensure policies and tools used in audits and inspections are followed to meet regional SLA’s and targets.
• Foster strong customer relationships with dealers and OPENLANE sales team to drive opportunities.
• Assist in hiring inspectors, contractors and full-time employees within regions.
• Collaborate with Marketplace and Sales leadership to ensure regional success and forecasting.
• Coordinate with scheduling to complete assignments on time and optimize resource use.
• Train inspectors on OPENLANE applications and inspection processes.
• Collect VOC and eNPS feedback calls as needed.
• Use data to identify inspector trends, capacity, quality, and consistency improvements.
• Serve as POC for contractors regarding compensation, tasks, updates, and questions.
