Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Sr. Regional Operations Manager for a remote role covering Southern California.

You will lead a team of Regional Operations Managers, oversee inspection processes, and ensure quality standards while collaborating with the sales team to drive regional success. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in operations leadership, 2+ years automotive mechanical experience, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in operations or related field
• 2+ years automotive mechanical experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Regional Operations Managers and be accountable for overall Objectives and Key Results of the inspection team
• Ensure policies, processes, procedures, and tools for floor plan audits and inspections are understood and followed to meet regional SLAs
• Help fuel sales growth by strengthening dealer relationships and coordinating with OPENLANE sales team
• Participate in hiring inspectors (contractors and full-time) within regions
• Collaborate with Marketplace and Commercial Sales leadership to plan inspection needs, growth forecasting, and scheduling
• Coordinate with OPENLANE scheduling to optimize assignments and resource use
• Train inspectors on OPENLANE apps, inspection processes, and job functionality
• Collect VOC and eNPS feedback calls as needed
• Serve as a POC for contractors on compensation, tasks, and app questions
• Communicate inspection feedback across departments and with sales, product, quality, and arbitrations
• Assist in creating, validating, and reviewing training programs
• Work in the field with inspectors to ensure quality standards and train new inspectors
• Act as reserve inspector for new markets and capacity gaps
