Job summary

OPENLANE, headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, seeks a Regional Operations Manager to lead a team of inspectors, recruit talent, and drive regional SLA attainment through data-driven decisions.

You will oversee field teams, ensure policy adherence, and collaborate with Sales and Product to optimize inspections and growth. The role emphasizes mentorship, training, and continuous improvement across regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience or education.
• Minimum of 2+ years automotive mechanical experience.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle with valid driver's license.
• Working knowledge of submitting electronic inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Master OPENLANE policies, processes, procedures, and tools for inspections and audits.
• Oversee inspectors to achieve regional SLAs and targets.
• Recruit and hire inspectors within the region for contract and full-time roles.
• Partner with Sales and Marketplace teams to ensure regional success.
• Cultivate relationships with dealers and OPENLANE sales to drive growth.
• Support OKR creation and implementation for the region.
• Lead and develop teams, including training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ensure contractors meet customer requirements and standards.
• Act as main contact for contractors regarding compensation and updates.
• Collaborate with Product, Arbitration, Scheduling, QA on app releases and improvements.
• Field work 1-2 days per week with inspectors to ensure quality and train new staff.
• Serve as reserve inspector for new markets and capacity gaps.
