Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to lead a regional team within the Logistics division, overseeing personnel, controlling expenses, and driving financial performance while executing talent strategy.

You will collaborate with Carrier Sales, Capacity Procurement, Logistics Sales, and Customer Service to match loads with capacity, grow the carrier base, and build long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation or Logistics preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of logistics experience.
• Currently in the role of a multi-unit field leader 3-5 years.
• Third party capacity 7-10 years / White Glove Residential Delivery experience.
• Experience with Profit and Loss Accountability preferred.
• Strong background in management or supervisory experience of 7-10 years or more.

Responsibilities

• Assure all freight gets covered timely and in accordance with our internal policy.
• Support in the pricing process of freight for the region.
• Participate in carrier/customer visits.
• Additional related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

• Strong management skills.
• Knowledge of Werner systems to support the business.
• Knowledge of market freight rates associated with the region.
• Assure office adheres to using only Werner qualified carriers and /or employee 26 ft. box delivery drivers.
