Job summary

Confidential Employer in Irvine, CA seeks a Regional Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across multiple offices. You will oversee administrative teams, partner with firm leadership, and drive efficiency, staffing, and compliance.

The role requires law firm operations experience, staff supervision, and hands-on HR, with travel up to 25% and on-site work in California. A competitive base salary and a 15% target bonus accompany this position.

Qualifications

6+ years of office or operations leadership experience, including law firm experience.
2+ years of experience supervising administrative or legal support staff.
Experience overseeing operations across multiple office locations.
2+ years of hands-on HR experience, including recruiting, employee relations, and leave administration.
Working knowledge of California employment regulations and workplace compliance.
Experience with budgeting, expense management, and operational process improvement.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with legal practice management systems, HRIS/payroll platforms, and professional HR certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead regional law firm operations, including office administration, facilities, staffing, vendors, and operational planning.
Manage, mentor, and support legal assistants and administrative staff, ensuring effective workload distribution and coverage.
Develop and streamline processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and service across multiple offices.
Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee support.
Oversee California workplace compliance, including wage and hour practices, employee leave, and safety requirements.
Manage regional budgets, review expenses, and work with finance leadership to maintain strong financial oversight.
Coordinate attorney and team onboarding to ensure smooth transitions and operational readiness.
Collaborate with managing partners and senior leadership to identify challenges, implement solutions, and support continued growth.
