Job summary

Boss Shops is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to supervise, staff, train, and oversee the successful operation of all locations within the Region. You will be accountable for financial performance and for maintaining the region's profit and loss.

The role requires ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating hiring and onboarding, managing budgets, reviewing location P&L, leading sales strategies, and maintaining high customer service levels across shops and company vehicles.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or five to eight years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a working knowledge of the shop industry.
• Must be able to read and understand monthly P&L statements.
• Must be able to read, follow, and implement budget controls.
• Must have reliable transportation and phone.
• Current valid driver's license and be insurable to drive.
• Work a minimum of 50 hours per week with 6–7 day weeks.
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and as needed.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Able to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
• Able to travel by air as needed for business meetings and events.
• Willingness and ability to travel; hotel stays required at minimum of 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces all OSHA and Safety Standards.
• Oversees all training programs pertinent to locations and/or Region.
• Maintains a profitable business unit; achieve budgeted goals.
• Ensures new employee orientation and onboarding is performed successfully.
• Participates in Business Review meetings with leadership, providing insights and strategic input.
• Coordinates and assists in hiring General Managers.
• Works with recruiting team to ensure steady flow of applications.
• Attends job fairs and recruiting activities.
• Fills in as the General Manager at locations when needed.
• Performs inventory audits and corrects inventory issues.
• Maintains proper product levels at locations.
• Fluent with POS system and basic computer hardware operation.
• Reviews employee scheduling for coverage and fairness.
• Resolves warranty claims through proper channels.
• Performs compliance inspections and maintains standards.
• Coordinates with maintenance and construction teams for upkeep.
• Communicates with Sales & Marketing as required.
• Performs routine market evaluations in the Region.
• Ensures cleanliness across shops and company vehicles.
• Evaluates locations’ P&L and assists in opportunities.
• Develops and executes sales strategies to grow business.
• Evaluates expenses and margins to reach budgets.
• Assists in budgeting and operating within guidelines.
• Ensures staff look and act professionally.
• Provides friendly and competent customer service.
• Reports for work on time.
• Follows Safety Manual & Policy/Procedure.
• Maintains LMS training current.
