Job summary

Boss Shops is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to supervise, staff, train, and oversee the operation of all locations within the region. The role includes responsibility for financial performance and maintaining P&L statements.

The position requires extensive leadership, hiring, and compliance oversight across multiple sites, with travel as needed and a focus on growth and profitability. Strong management of budgets and operational standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a working knowledge of the shop industry.
• Must have some knowledge of the tire industry.
• Must have the ability to read and understand monthly P&L statements.
• Must have the ability to read, follow, and implement budget controls.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces OSHA and Safety Standards set forth by company policy.
• Oversees all training programs for locations and Region.
• Maintains a profitable business unit; achieve budgeted goals.
• Ensures new employee orientation and onboarding is performed successfully.
• Attends leadership meetings and provides insights to support objectives.
• Co-ordinates and assists in hiring of General Managers.
• Works with recruiting team to ensure steady flow of applications.
• Fills in as the General Manager at locations when needed.
• Performs inventory audits and corrects issues.
• Maintains proper product levels at all locations.
• Fluent with POS system and basic computer/printer knowledge.
• Reviews scheduling to ensure coverage and fairness.
• Resolves warranty claims and directs to proper channels.
• Performs compliance inspections and ensures standards.
• Coordinates with maintenance to keep equipment/facilities in good order.
• Communicates with Sales & Marketing as required.
• Performs routine market evaluations in the Region.
• Ensures cleanliness at shops and company vehicles.
• Assesses location P&L and helps address opportunities.
• Creates and executes sales strategies to grow business.
• Assesses expenses and margins to meet budgets.
• Helps set and operate within budget guidelines.
• Ensures staff present a professional appearance.
