Job summary

RB Global in Houston, TX seeks a Regional Operations Manager to lead regional ops, drive budgets, and overseesite operations across permanent and temporary auction sites. You will supervise staff, ensure safety standards, and maintain exceptional service for customers and vendors, while coordinating with senior leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive travel, and a proven ability to manage complex operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in managing and/or directing operations; 10+ years preferred in a sales-driven environment.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in English
• Willingness to work extended overtime and weekends around auction dates
• Ability to travel regionally up to 5 nights per month and internationally once or twice per year
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Strong business acumen, budgets, and process understanding
• Proven leadership, coaching, and change management capabilities
• Extensive customer-facing experience and service orientation
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure
• Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and report on financial activities for the region, including budget prep, cost control, and accounts payable/receivable
• Maintain high visibility with region’s business community, customers and employees
• Foster clear, direct communication across regions and departments to boost cooperation and engagement
• Lead direct reports with performance management, coaching, succession planning and compensation
• Plan and manage auctions and pre-auction operations, including brochures and catalogs
• Develop and implement policies and processes for safe, efficient regional operation
• Oversee customer service levels and resolution of inquiries or issues
• Plan capital assets, including vehicle fleets and building expansions
• Ensure licenses and permits are current and compliant
• Evaluate contracts for vendor services
• Support safety culture and RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety
• Perform other duties as assigned
