Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Regional Operations Manager in Carmel, IN to lead a team of inspectors (FTE and 1099) and ensure compliance with policies and SLA targets. You will recruit, coach, and manage performance while partnering with Sales and Marketplace teams to forecast needs and drive regional growth.

The role requires 3+ years in operations or automotive experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with electronic inspection reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience or education.
• Minimum of 2+ years of automotive mechanical experience.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of technology, particularly in submitting electronic inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Master OPENLANE policies, processes, procedures, and tools used for floor plan audits and inspections.
• Oversee inspectors to meet regional SLA's and targets.
• Recruit and hire inspectors in the region.
• Collaborate with Marketplace and Sales teams to forecast growth and schedules.
• Build strong dealer and OPENLANE sales relationships to drive growth.
• Support OKR creation and execution in the region.
• Lead and develop teams, including training and performance management.
• Ensure contractors meet customer requirements and standards.
• Be the main contact for compensation, task assignment, and process updates for contractors and inspectors.
• Collaborate with Product, Arbitration, Scheduling, and QA for app releases and improvements.
• Travel 1-2 days per week to work in the field with inspectors.
