Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Director, Regional Business Operations Director to drive operational strategy and P&L across the New England region, ensuring profitability and service excellence. The role partners with regional commercial teams to deliver high-quality projects, optimize staffing, and manage budgets.

The position can sit in any New England office, and requires extensive leadership, change management, and cross-functional collaboration to propel growth and improve client satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant post-education experience.
• Active member of local and/or national professional practice organization.
• Experience with change management.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills.
• Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee operational strategies and business plans for operational excellence.
• Lead day-to-day management of operational activities ensuring alignment with goals.
• Monitor KPIs, financial data, and risk to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set objectives and action plans.
• Design scalable processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and operational readiness for initiatives.
• Lead transformational projects and technology upgrades.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration among finance, HR, technology, and delivery.
• Mentor and develop operational staff and promote inclusion and safety.
