Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Regional Account Director, Oncology, to cover Orange County, CA and surrounding markets. You will lead key account strategy for IDNs, hospitals, and community oncology/urology accounts, identify growth opportunities, and coordinate cross-functional plans.

You will build strategic relationships with major stakeholders, drive account plans, and travel up to 50% to achieve targets while collaborating with Sales, Medical Affairs, and Regional Marketing to ensure optimal product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of pharma and/or healthcare experience.
• 3+ years in pharmaceutical account management in IDN, hospital, or community oncology/urology channels.
• Subject matter expertise in community oncology/urology GPO business models and offerings.
• Experience in business planning, including account planning, problem solving, contracting, and analytics.
• Cross-functional influence, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Understanding of customer channels and market dynamics across Oncology.
• Budget management experience.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Business travel up to 50%; some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key account stakeholders at high levels (C- and D-level).
• Understand key priorities of accounts and conduct business reviews (QBRs).
• Leverage data tools to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop, implement, and measure cross-functional account plans for Oncology portfolio.
• Monitor product pathway status and positioning.
• Provide area strategy and analytics support to leadership and team.
• Coordinate cross-functional actions to meet customer needs.
• Attend conferences and trade shows to engage customers and stay informed.
• Prioritize account opportunities using market research and performance data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement account solutions and plans.
• Mobilize field teams and HQ as needed to execute key actions.
• Set KPIs aligned to brand priorities and update plans accordingly.
• Build relationships with 3rd parties (GPOs, diagnostic firms, industry groups).
• Deliver insights to account team from multiple data sources.
