Job summary

H&R Block seeks a strategic Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, driving a consistent, high-quality client experience. You will set expectations for consultative service, ensure operational execution, and lead and coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals across locations.

You will own office readiness, staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations while aligning priorities to strengthen execution, client outcomes, and business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit settings with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset and consultative leadership.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Independent judgment to prioritize across locations.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and performance data.
• Identify patterns, address performance gaps, and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor metrics, trends, and take actions to improve results.
