Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations. You will lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, coaching teams to anticipate client needs and deliver expert guidance in every office.

This hands-on leader will balance strategic oversight with in-office presence, drive operational execution, staffing, and compliance, and own revenue and business outcomes across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit operations or retail services.
• Proven ability to drive client experience and service quality.
• Leadership skills to coach and develop staff and hold teams accountable.
• Experience managing operations and financial results across locations.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting expectations and coaching.
• Provide coaching to strengthen team execution and address performance gaps.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance across offices.
• Own office readiness, facilities, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal prep.
