Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sales Manager Merchant Regional to lead the Merchant Services team and help shape the future of global commerce. You will oversee leadership, coaching, and strategic selling to develop new accounts and expand existing ones.

The role requires strong management, negotiation, and communication skills, with a focus on long-term client relationships, market analysis, and revenue growth. Travel is required for regional coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Strong management, organizational, team-building and mentoring skills.
• Solid business, industry, financial planning and executive presence.
• In-depth knowledge of Worldpay products and services.
• Understanding of financial or payment solutions technology and banking practices.
• Excellent negotiation and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for area of responsibility including planning, coaching, recruiting, selection, performance development and mentoring.
• Monitors staff performance and documents progress; approves incentive compensation.
• Responsible for selling products and/or services and expanding accounts.
• Directs resources cost-effectively and supports sales executives with tools.
• Participates in establishing financial goals and growth targets.
• Develops sales plans, goals, strategies and objectives to meet revenue targets.
• Identifies market segments through research and recommends sales strategies.
• Implements and enforces sales policies and practices.
• Oversees trade show participation and sales meeting planning.
• Prepares sales performance reports for senior management.
• Assists in pricing and packaging to meet market needs.
• Monitors client feedback to maintain positive relationships.
• Ensures long-term relationships with clients and drives client satisfaction.
• Encourages staff to pursue product/service and industry education.
• Supports attainment of revenue goals with tactical/strategic plans.
• Performs other related duties as required.
