Job summary

U.S. Bank’s Merchant Payment Services team is seeking a Regional Account Executive to drive new merchant relationships, cultivate referral partnerships, and grow market share in your territory.

This hybrid outside sales role emphasizes prospecting, networking, and consultative solution selling to retailers, restaurants, healthcare, and more. You will source at least half your pipeline, travel as needed, and collaborate with FI referral partners to identify opportunities and close deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two to three years of relevant sales experience.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Outside Sales & Business Development
• Generate 50%+ of your sales pipeline through self-sourced prospecting, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
• Spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with FI referral partners, business owners, and decision makers.
• Develop territory growth strategies to acquire new merchant relationships and expand market penetration.
• Build and maintain a sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Conduct consultative sales presentations, needs assessments, and product demonstrations.
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms and close new business.
