Job summary

Bellwether Housing in Seattle seeks a Regional Manager to oversee operations for multiple affordable housing properties. You will manage resident satisfaction, lease administration, maintenance, rental collection, and compliance while driving property P&L and marketing operations.

You will lead a team of property managers, respond to emergencies, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support resident stability and access to services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years' experience as a multi-family Property, Portfolio, or Regional Manager overseeing a portfolio of affordable housing properties (LIHTC, Home, Section 8).
• Collaborative leadership style and effective team builder.
• Excellent written communication; proficient with Yardi and Excel.
• Deep understanding of HUD, LIHTC, state and local funder regulations.
• Experience with complex populations including mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness.
• Ability to convey technical concerns with detail and quick, accurate communication.
• High initiative and problem-solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills; effective across organization levels.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement strategies to achieve property goals; analyze market trends for growth opportunities.
• Lead and manage a team of property managers and site staff; conduct evaluations and provide guidance.
• Ensure compliance with Property Management Agreement, policies, fair housing laws, and landlord/tenant regulations.
• Build and maintain cross-site relationships with stakeholders; promote a culture of service and resident stability.
• Monitor revenue and expenses; prepare financial reports for senior management and lenders.
