Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Regional Machine Safety Engineer to lead safety initiatives across multiple operations. You will assess risks, design safeguarding solutions, and align with regulations to protect employees and assets.

Partner with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to implement improvements, train staff, and drive a culture of continuous safety and reliability across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in machine safety or related fields.
• Working knowledge of ANSI, ISO, and other machine safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and mechanical drawings.
• Certifications in machine safety (ANSI, TÜV, or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine safety, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or risk assessment.
• Working knowledge of ANSI, ISO, and other applicable machine safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• ANSI, TÜV, or other machine safety certifications are preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
