Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to drive safety excellence across our operations. You will develop and implement HSE policies, oversee training, audits, and regulatory compliance, and partner with engineering, operations, HR, and leadership to embed HSE into daily work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive HSE experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Professional certification (NEBOSH, CSP, CIH, or equivalent) preferred.

• Develop, implement, and enhance HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations.
• Manage and deliver HSE training to foster a strong safety culture.
• Oversee required reports, permits, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead emergency response planning, drills, and training activities.
• Perform internal and external HSE audits and inspections.
• Partner across departments to integrate HSE priorities into daily operations.
• Stay current on HSE legislation, best practices, and emerging technologies.
