Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Regional Machine Safety Engineer to shape machine safety strategies across operations. You will combine engineering expertise with cross-functional collaboration to identify risks, implement safeguarding solutions, and foster a culture of safety region‑wide.

You will lead risk assessments, provide technical guidance on safety standards, and support capital projects and maintenance programs from a safety perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's-level engineering education with a focus on safety.
• Minimum 5 years in machine safety, industrial maintenance, or risk assessment.
• Knowledge of ANSI/ISO machine-safety standards and drawings interpretation.
• Willingness to pursue certification (ANSI/TÜV) is preferred.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine safety, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or risk assessment.

• Working knowledge of ANSI, ISO, and other applicable machine safety standards.

• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system drawings and schematics.

• Strong communication, collaboration, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• ANSI, TÜV, or other machine safety certifications are preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
