Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Regional Manager – Transmission & Distribution in Texas to lead regional EPC and construction projects from pursuit through completion, ensuring safety and quality while driving profitability and growth.

The role requires exceptional leadership, budgeting, schedule management, and the ability to coordinate field teams, customers, and stakeholders across a geographically dispersed region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in transmission, distribution, substation construction, EPC delivery, or power infrastructure operations.
• Proven success managing large-scale transmission and distribution projects, programs, and regional portfolios.
• Strong understanding of transmission line construction, distribution system construction, substation integration, project sequencing, and risk management.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with experience managing project profitability, forecasting, budgets, and resource planning.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel within the region as required.
• PMP or PE certifications are preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for transmission and distribution EPC and construction projects, including grid modernization and renewable interconnections.
• Manage regional programs and project portfolios to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Forecast and plan regional resource requirements based on workloads.
• Regularly visit project sites to support field operations, safety initiatives, and project execution.
• Directly manage projects and assume full project management responsibilities when necessary.
• Partner with the GM and VP to support regional development and growth.
• Resolve complex operational, project, and program challenges.
• Review and approve reports prepared for management, clients, and stakeholders.
