Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - Transmission & Distribution to lead field activities across Texas.

You will guide Superintendents, Foremen, and crews, coordinating labor, equipment, and materials to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within quality standards. You will work with Project Managers to monitor progress, optimize productivity, and build strong relationships with customers, unions, and subcontractors while upholding safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5–7 years of relevant power construction experience.
• Significant experience in overhead transmission and/or overhead distribution construction.
• Fully qualified tradesperson with strong knowledge of overhead power construction means, methods, equipment, and field operations.
• Experience supervising Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, field crews, and subcontractors.
• Experience interpreting construction plans, project requirements, and field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct field construction activities for overhead transmission and distribution projects across Texas.
• Supervise and assign field personnel based on project needs.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors for safe, efficient execution.
• Monitor production, schedules, and field performance; implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations.
• Develop relationships within unions and ensure labor agreements are followed.
• Provide training and mentorship to field leadership on safety, quality, and productivity.
