Job summary

Pomeroy in Charlotte, NC is seeking an IT field service technician to support retail and office environments by repairing hardware, managing service calls, and maintaining inventory.

You will travel in company-provided vehicles, install or cabling projects, and ensure safety and SLA adherence while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned service zone to ensure service calls are completed within the SLA and follow inventory and safety policies.
• Troubleshoot and repair failed IT hardware in retail store and/or office settings.
• Pick up shipped service parts and drop off defective service parts promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Edit all aspects of web-based service tickets with status updates, comprehensive notes, resolution information, equipment details and closure.
• Maintain spare parts inventory in van and record usage in the service management system.
• Keep vehicle orderly, clean, and maintained per maintenance schedules; maintain safe driving record.
• Travel for installation or cabling projects as needed; may require extensive driving in company vehicle.
• Complete ad hoc or project-based IT hardware installation tasks and support cabling projects as needed.
