Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Regional Desktop Technician to join our IT team in Gainesville, FL. This full-time role provides on-site technical support for state correctional facilities, handling hardware, software, printers, and network issues.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hardware and network support experience, familiarity with Remote Desktop, Windows, and Microsoft Office, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, but not required.
• 1–2 years hands-on hardware experience preferred.
• 1–2 years hands-on network support including cabling, switch, and firewall troubleshooting and installation.
• CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft MCP preferred, but not required.
• Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP) and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of electronics, printers, PC architecture, and operating systems.
• Experience with Remote Desktop Management and printer troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Diagnostics using ping, traceroute, IPConfig and system event logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to state correctional facilities for hardware, software, printers, networking, and related equipment.
• Triage Tier 2 requests and understand Tier 3 escalation process.
• Test fixes to ensure resolution and follow up after resolution.
• Document end-user details and call resolution notes in the system.
• Configure, maintain, test, and document Help Desk applications and knowledge base.
• Collaborate with Help Desk colleagues to solve complex problems.
• Prioritize and manage incoming requests and communicate status updates.
• Create procedural documentation and review new technology for potential use.
• Potential to work weekends and holidays as needed.
