Job summary

Carvana in Connecticut is seeking an Area Lead for the Safe & Secure Team. This field-based role covers multiple sites, delivering incident management, fraud reduction, and safety programs while partnering with Market Operations and Logistics.

You will travel 60-75% across assigned sites, lead on-site safety initiatives, and mentor teams. A high school diploma and 5+ years in security are required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of Security/Asset Protection experience.
• 1+ year of multi-site leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and data-driven skill set.
• Experience implementing Risk Mitigation programs with partners within a complex business environment.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel between sites within assigned geographical area according to risk level and on-site support needed.
• Work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
• Troubleshoot scanning and inventory concerns; lead efforts to reduce unit loss due to missing units, forcible removals, or fraud-related activity.
• Execute Incident Management Program and provide on-site support in emergencies.
• Support Inventory Control in tracking units taken off lot to ensure effective controls.
• Execute fraud mitigation efforts to safeguard assets.
• Lead Safe & Secure technology processes; ensure badge access and server room health.
• Record all incidents and perform after-action reviews for improvements.
• Use data to report Safe & Secure performance and improvements.
• Foster relationships with other departments and stakeholders.
