Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking a Regional Field Service Maintenance Technician to service and repair industrial equipment across customer sites in the Chicago area. You will diagnose faults, perform break-fix and preventative maintenance, and work closely with customer teams to ensure reliability and uptime.

The role involves operating basic machining tools, wiring and electrical work, and adhering to safety and quality standards in a factory environment.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED.
Associates degree with a Technical focus and 5 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 7 years of experience in specific industry.
Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
Experience with electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems; ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
Experience in preventive maintenance, precision measuring, mechanical alignments, and maintenance of process equipment.
Exposure to PLCs, field devices, and electrical drive/motor systems.

Responsibilities

Perform break-fix and preventive maintenance.
Identify parts, supplies and repair items for equipment maintenance.
Work with customer counterparts to execute maintenance and reliability procedures.
Setup and operate machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and welding as needed.
Document work performed in service reports and management systems.
