Job summary
Advanced Technology Services in Chicago seeks an experienced industrial maintenance technician to perform break-fix and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, diagnosing root causes and repairing electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems. You will support reliability initiatives and work alongside customer teams.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, plus an associate degree with a technical focus (or 5–7 years in the industry).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree with a technical focus plus 5 years of related experience, or 7 years in the industry.
- Ability to use basic and specialized tools as appropriate.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems and ability to analyze problems.
Responsibilities
- Perform break-fix and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Identify parts, supplies, and repair items needed for maintenance.
- Diagnose root causes and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems.
- Work with customer counterparts to execute maintenance and reliability procedures.
- Operate machine tools when needed and perform welding tasks as required.
- Document work performed in service reports and management systems.
