Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a Senior Field Service Maintenance Technician to support industrial maintenance in its Chicago-area operations. The role emphasizes expert break-fix, preventative maintenance, and root-cause analysis on complex electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

You will identify parts, source replacements, and document performance data while complying with safety standards in a factory setting. Opportunity to train, mentor, and lead project teams.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 10 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 12 years of experience in specific industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Experience in condition based maintenance techniques and precision mechanical alignments.
• Experience in programmable logic controllers, field device troubleshooting, and electrical drive/motor systems.
• Personal discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Identify root causes, dismantle devices, replace defective parts, and test performance.
• Source parts and evaluate alternatives to improve cost/reliability.
• Setup and operate machining operations; may perform welding tasks.
• Document work in service reports and data systems.
• Provide guidance to lower-level technicians and participate in training.
