Job summary

Volunteers of America-Texas is seeking a Regional Housing Manager to lead a portfolio of affordable housing communities across Texas. This role oversees property performance, regulatory compliance, financial management, and resident satisfaction in alignment with VOA Texas mission.

The position requires 5+ years of supervisory and multi-site experience, strong knowledge of HUD/LIHTC/Section 8, and travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory and multi-site property management experience.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs, property operations, financial management, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, coach, and supervise Community Administrators and property management staff.
• Drive property performance through operations, occupancy, budget management, and resident retention.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, PRAC, Bond, and other affordable housing regulations.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze budgets and variances, and implement corrective action plans.
• Oversee property maintenance, capital improvement projects, and long-term asset preservation.
• Conduct regular site visits and provide guidance and support to on-site teams.
• Promote resident-focused services and community engagement programs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, and applicable laws and regulations.

Position Summary
