Job summary

Swan Hospice is seeking a Regional Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives across assigned territories. You will manage a team of liaisons, cultivate strong hospital and facility relationships, and drive referrals while upholding the organization’s mission of compassionate, patient-centered care.

This role collaborates with clinical leadership to ensure seamless patient admissions, monitors market trends, and reports on census growth and performance to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in hospice/home health or healthcare business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding growth goals.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice compliance requirements.
• Willingness to travel across assigned regions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase referrals and expand market share within assigned regions.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of hospice liaisons, ensuring accountability for referral growth and community engagement.
• Establish and maintain relationships with hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, physicians, and other referral sources.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure seamless communication and excellent service for new admissions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on census growth and business development metrics to leadership.
• Represent Swan Hospice at networking events, health fairs, and community outreach opportunities.
• Ensure all marketing and business development practices comply with regulations.
• Support Swan Hospice's mission by promoting compassionate, patient-centered care.
