Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Health Systems Regional Scientific Director to lead medical and HEOR engagement with regional payers from Detroit area and surrounding states.

This remote field-based role requires collaboration with MSLs, RAD, and KAD teams to advance access and evidence generation. The ideal candidate has substantial IDN/payer experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent presentation skills, with up to 50% travel to support scientific meetings and payer

Qualifications

• Clinical or scientific degree required (MD/PhD/PharmD/MPH etc.).
• 5+ years’ experience in IDN and payer space with leadership to develop peer relationships.
• Strong knowledge of real-world evidence, pharmacoeconomics, and HEOR concepts.
• Proven ability to navigate payer and IDN organizational practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with healthcare decision makers in regional payer organizations to ensure access to medical and scientific information.
• Partner with RAD and KAD teams to develop strategic account plans and execute medical activities.
• Coordinate with regional MSLs and market access teams on scientific support needs.
• Support HEOR activities within regional accounts and provide strategic input to GMA.
• Attend scientific and medical meetings and deliver post-meeting summaries.
• Travel up to 50% including weekends for scientific meetings.
