IDEA is seeking an Event Coordinator in California to plan, coordinate, and execute regional fundraising and other events. You will lead event lifecycle activities from planning through on-site execution and post‑event analysis, collaborating with regional staff and external partners.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong skills in budgeting, vendor management, and communications, with travel and after-hours availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in event planning, fundraising, or community engagement.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Experience managing event budgets and coordinating vendors and logistics.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, and execute regional fundraising and other events.
• Work with Assistant Director of National Events to ensure quality and consistency.
• Develop event plans, timelines, and budgets for successful execution.
• Research, secure, and coordinate venues, vendors, and services.
• Negotiate contracts with venues, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate speakers, sponsors, host committees, volunteers, and internal teams.
