Job summary

IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) seeks an Event Coordinator to plan regional fundraising events end-to-end, coordinating with the Assistant Director of National Events, staff, volunteers, vendors, and partners to deliver high-quality, cost-conscious programs in Detroit and surrounding areas.

You will manage timelines, budgets, venues, contracts, and on-site operations, while promoting IDEA’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in event planning, fundraising, community engagement, hospitality, or related field.
• Strong organizational, project-management, time-management, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute regional fundraising and other events in alignment with national strategy and regional priorities.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Director of National Events for quality assurance and consistency.
• Develop event plans, timelines, budgets, programs, and materials for successful execution.
