Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Region Fleet Manager to optimize our fleet and drive revenue, profitability, and efficiency across the region. Reporting to the RVP, you will develop and execute the fleet plan in alignment with corporate objectives.

You will collaborate with region finance, field management, and vendors to improve utilization and asset value while ensuring compliance with company policies and budgeting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years fleet management experience.
• Field operations management experience with fleet optimization.
• Experience utilizing various sales channels to yield results.
• Proficient in MS Excel and BI tools; RentalMan experience.
• Ives’ training experience required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Partner with region finance and Corporate Fleet Management to analyze metrics like dollar utilization, time utilization, and other fleet KPIs.
• Promote best practices to support Operations United Strategy and drive metrics.
• Collaborate with DMs and BMs to implement corrective actions and exit plans for non-compatible fleet.
• Review CERs to prevent excess fleet purchases and manage expenses to the capex plan.
• Coordinate fleet transfers and sale packages; facilitate regional transfers as needed.
• Determine optimal fleet mix in collaboration with DMs and BMs and communicate competitive advantages to customers.
• Assist sourcing in identifying suppliers; participate in vendor reviews; provide feedback.
• Help track usage/movement of non-rental fleet with the corporate Vehicle Fleet Manager.
• Determine disposal timing for excess fleet to maximize return; manage the used equipment list.
