Job summary

Dematic Corporation seeks a Regional Field Service Technician 4 with a controls focus to service and maintain installed Dematic systems. The role travels 100% across North America, with potential extended assignments and weekend work.

Under Field Service supervision, you will train customers, perform PLC/sensor installations and maintenance, and ensure maximum system availability while upholding customer goodwill and safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum two years experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
Experience with material handling equipment (AGV/AS/RS/conveyors) preferred.
Willing to travel on short notice, 80%+ time away from home possible.
Ability to write concise trip reports following Dematic procedures.

Responsibilities

Participates in semi-complex equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls.
Participates in training customers on semi-complex products and services.
Perform installation/adjustments on PLCs, sensors, etc. using controls software from various vendors
Performs semi-complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc., and maintains documents of all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures.
Responds to semi-complex service calls.
Assesses product/equipment performance using field data and suggests improvements.
Performs semi-complex work within technical or paraprofessional area.
Identifies problems and takes steps to solve them; complex issues referred to others.
