Job summary

IRONCLAD Powered by Mersino is seeking an Area Manager to oversee approximately 10 branches across the East region. You will lead field teams, drive safety, and manage performance, utilization, and customer relations from the field.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, regional collaboration, and accountability, with substantial travel to branches to ensure consistent execution of standards and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in operations, branch management, or field leadership.
• Experience managing multiple locations preferred.
• Strong safety, compliance, and asset-based operations knowledge.
• Ability to make operational decisions and hold teams accountable.
• Experience coaching frontline and mid-level leaders.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and execution skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 70–80%.
• Internal candidates with strong leadership potential encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operational consistency and performance across assigned branches.
• Ensure consistent execution of operating standards.
• Identify operational gaps and drive corrective action quickly.
• Serve as primary escalation point for Branch Managers.
• Drive safety culture and ensure DOT, environmental compliance.
• Monitor EBITDA, utilization, and operating costs.
• Coach and develop Branch Managers through field engagement.
• Support hiring, performance management, disciplinary actions.
• Protect and grow customer relationships with Sales and Operations.
• Partner with Regional VP to execute regional priorities.
