Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4-6 retail offices, ensuring a consistently excellent client experience. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balance strategic oversight with in-office presence, and drive performance across locations.

You will own staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations while focusing on revenue growth and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading multi-unit teams with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Strong leadership capability with proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices.
• Ability to work a schedule aligning with operating hours, including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 assigned offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and feedback to strengthen team execution.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure consistent daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Prepare for seasonal demand with staffing and onboarding.
