Job summary

H&R Block seeks a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align priorities, and drive operational excellence across locations.

You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands-on presence, manage staffing, facilities, and compliance, and travel between offices to maintain in-person leadership and strong performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/ops with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results while managing daily ops.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Schedule flexibility including evenings, weekends, and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with coaching.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and performance.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations including staffing, compliance, SOPs.
• Oversee office readiness including facilities, supplies, recruiting, onboarding.
