Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to manage 4–6 retail offices, delivering a high-quality client experience and strong operational results. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, monitor performance, and drive revenue across locations.

As a visible, hands-on leader, you’ll balance strategic oversight with in-office presence, ensuring staffing, facilities, compliance, onboarding, and seasonal readiness align with client needs and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years work experience leading teams in a multi-unit environment with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership capability with coaching, development, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices with disciplined execution.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations and drive improvements.
• Lead adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals to consistent performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance outcomes to strengthen execution.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results, acquisition, and retention.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, compliance, and SOPs across offices.
• Oversee office readiness including facilities, equipment, supplies, and onboarding.
