Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align staffing, facilities, and operations, and drive business results with hands-on leadership.

As a visible leader, you’ll monitor performance, address gaps, and implement new client experience processes while traveling between offices to maintain in-person presence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit environment with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Strong client-centric consultative experience.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting expectations and coaching for performance.
• Provide coaching informed by observations, feedback, and performance metrics.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent.
