Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Area Experience Leader to supervise 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistently high-quality client experience.

You’ll lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, coach teams, and balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to strengthen execution and results. You’ll own office readiness, staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations, driving revenue and client outcomes across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/operations with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven leadership to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to drive business results while managing day-to-day ops across locations.
• Experience leading through change and process adoption.
• Independent judgment to prioritize across locations.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact; reinforce strengths, address gaps.
• Lead adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals for performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behavior and outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
