Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations. You’ll set service standards, oversee operations, and coach teams to excellence.

As a visible, hands-on leader, you’ll balance strategic oversight with in-office presence, drive revenue and performance, and ensure office readiness including staffing, facilities, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires proven leadership across multiple retail locations.
• Experience delivering a consultative, client-focused experience.
• Strong ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Track record of driving business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices with disciplined standards.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to drive improvements.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting expectations and coaching for performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance data to strengthen execution.
• Identify patterns across offices, address gaps, and build bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operations across assigned offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
