Job summary

Orange EV is hiring a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform field upgrades on local Orange EV vehicles. You will analyze Remote Monitoring System data, document service activities, and collaborate with customers and third-party providers to ensure efficient repairs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with site management on charging infrastructure, providing operator and maintenance training, and traveling as needed for training and service goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in the automotive or electrical industries.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, TEAMS).
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally 75–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Understand the vehicle at a systemic level to diagnose and repair.
• Represent Orange EV professionally.
• Use Remote Monitoring System to plan service and prioritize customer needs.
• Record all service activity in the service record-keeping system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers to aid diagnosis and escalation.
• Coordinate with site manager/electrician on charging infrastructure logistics.
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and report on condition.
• Support customers and third-party providers with ancillary repairs.
• Provide tools, parts storage, and training in operation and maintenance.
• Travel as required for initial training and to meet service goals and customer needs.
