Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator to lead estimating functions for a defined region, including budgets, staffing and project support. You will coordinate with project managers on procurement, change orders, and cost studies to support competitive proposals.

The role requires extensive experience in estimating, strong cost-control skills, and the ability to review and finalize large proposal packages. Travel may be required for regional and client meetings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 10 years related estimating experience, including 3+ in a supervisory role.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer estimating functions for region/area/group, including budgets, staffing and work assignments.
• Implement established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with project managers to assist procurement and change orders.
• Supervise preparation of market cost studies and database updates.
• Provide guidance to region leadership and coordinate with design leads for cost efficiency.
