Job summary

CDM Smith in Hawaii seeks an experienced Estimator to lead and administer estimating functions across regions, including budgets, staffing and procurement support.

You will work with project managers, coordinate with design leads for constructability, maintain cost databases, and ensure timely final proposals. Travel up to 40% may be required; domestic/international travel is possible. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 10 years related experience with at least 3 in supervisory/management capacity.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manages and administers estimating functions in region, area or group including budgets, staffing, and work assignments.
• Implements established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Supports procurement by negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Supervises market cost studies and maintains the cost database.
• Reviews project details with region leadership to determine strategies and resources.
• Coordinates with design leads for cost effectiveness and constructability in proposals.
• Ensures standardized use of estimating systems and maintains cost database.
• Maintains historical estimating data for various types of estimates and bid results.
• Reviews final estimate and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Performs additional duties as required.
