Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Line Supervisor based at the Erie Service Center to oversee complex transmission and distribution line work. You will direct crews, coordinate outages, and ensure adherence to safety and engineering standards while maintaining system reliability.

Ideal candidates bring extensive electrical field experience, supervisory capability, and strong leadership to mentor staff, manage performance, and coordinate cross-department efforts. This role is on-site in Erie.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years’ related electrical field experience.
• Advanced knowledge of transmission and distribution systems operations, repair, and construction.
• Some supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to safety.
• Directing and supervising employees engaged in electric transmission and distribution line work.
• Directing line workers in installation of energized lines and transferring circuit loads.
• Responding and supervising resources during emergency conditions to support public safety and system reliability.
• Monitoring activities and enforcing conformance to safety and construction standards.
• Coordinating equipment, tools, materials, and supplies required for work.
• Coordinating work with other departments and scheduling construction, maintenance, repair, or test work.
• Demonstrating customer service and communicating effectively with personnel and stakeholders.
