Job summary

Apex Tool Group is seeking a Regional EHS Leader based at the Apex, NC Distribution Center. You will implement and coordinate environmental health and safety activities across the region, aligning with company policies to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.

You will partner with site operations and leadership to drive EHS objectives. Responsibilities include developing training, leading audits, reporting metrics, and guiding corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years EHS experience with 1-2 years leadership preferred, manufacturing setting.
• Ability to travel 25-50%.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional units to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Sr. Regional EHS Manager to establish objectives and guidance.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and materials.
• Serve as local EHS subject matter expert for assigned facilities.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training and safe practices.
• Implement, maintain and improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct environmental and safety audits to verify regulatory compliance.
• Track and report EHS metrics and support corrective actions.
• Lead safety programs, hazard mitigation, and hazardous waste management.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain emergency response, fire prevention, and incident reporting programs.
• Manage environmental and safety reporting including OSHA logs and regulatory docs.
• Lead workers' compensation activities including return-to-work programs.
