Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Regional Director of Environmental Health & Safety to lead EHS programs across our Gulf Coast operations and surrounding regions. You will drive regulatory compliance, risk management, and a proactive safety culture while coordinating with senior leaders to align safety with business goals.

The role requires 10+ years in EHS leadership, deep regulatory knowledge, and the ability to motivate teams across sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field.
10+ years of progressive EHS experience including leadership in multi-site settings.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
Ability to communicate clearly across all levels from executives to frontline.

Responsibilities

Lead regional and national EHS programs, policies, and procedures for traffic control operations.
Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for traffic control hazards.
Lead safety campaigns, audits, and incident investigations with root cause analysis.
Develop KPIs and report safety performance across the business unit.
Foster a proactive safety culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
