Job summary

AWP Safety, a leader in traffic control and work zone safety, seeks a Regional Director of Environmental Health & Safety to drive regional and national EHS programs. You will align safety goals with operational plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture across locations.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in multi-state operations, and the ability to collaborate with corporate leaders to deliver measurable safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Experience in multi-state or field-based operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional and national EHS programs, policies and procedures for traffic control operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement in safety culture.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead incident investigations with root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with executives and site leaders within a matrix reporting structure.
• Develop and track KPIs related to safety performance and training compliance.
• Travel as required to field locations to support safety initiatives.

Education
