Job summary

Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) seeks a Regional Project Manager for Existing Industry and Regional Recruitment (EIRR) in Region 4. You will drive business development, engage with companies considering expansion, and cultivate relationships with community and state partners to boost job creation and investment.

Primarily traveling within the region, you will represent Georgia, coordinate with local officials, and lead efforts to advance economic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field and 3 years of professional experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Proven record of leading projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Good judgment and ethical standards.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must reside within region or relocate at personal expense.
• Willing to travel extensively (3 days per week).

Responsibilities

• Represent the region as lead point of contact for expansion or new locations.
• Build relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate leads.
• Develop strategic relationships with executive-level decision makers.
• Serve as the state’s first contact for regional economic development efforts.
